Due to the change in the Miami University academic calendar, PSE Miami had to make necessary changes to our services scheduling. Because of this change, as well as the changes in the event date of our service partner, Dance Marathon; we were only able to hold two service events during the 2013 Fall Semester. The first event, a Date Auction, took place in late February which raised approximately $3,000 dollars toward the Karen Wellington Memorial Foundation, an Ohio non-profit that provides much needed spa days and vacations for women living with breast cancer and their families. We had high chapter involvement at the event with an audience of over 150 people.

The second event was another Date Auction, which was put on in order to help combat the change in scheduling while also act as the new standing date for the event in the future. This event garnered the largest chapter and general student body participation that any Date Auction has seen in the past. More than 200 guests were in attendance, and over $3,200 dollars was raised for the Karen Wellington Foundation, the highest monetary donation to date.

In the following term, we will be hosting events such as the Harry Trotter 5k, Cabaret Night in addition to a talent showcase all in an effort to raise money for more worthy causes.
